TP-Europe Smart LDAR, offers cost-efficient leak detection solutions. Smart LDAR uses Optical Gas Image (OGI) technology for the detection of emission leaks for accessible or lesser accessible facilities or storage tanks. Detection is done from a distance and can cover large areas. Real time reporting of found leakages in hard copy or direct upload of image and data to a digital database can be done in a short time scale.
TP-Europe uses infrared cameras for Optical Gas Imaging (OGI). This advanced technique enables quick scanning of large Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) leaks in a cost effective way. The remote sensing scans traditional and nontraditional components in large areas giving quick insight in potential efficiency loss and environmental damage.
Smart LDAR, the combination of LDAR and quick OGI scanning
Using OGI can be seen as a top down approach to leak detection and management programs. The remote sensing and instantaneous detection capabilities of this technology allow an operator to scan areas containing tens to hundreds of potential needs, thus eliminating the need to visit and manually measure potential leak sites. The infrared camera will detect leakages and the toxic vapor analyzer will be able to quantify all this to complete the program.
TP-Europe uses most advanced camera technology
TP-Europe has vast experience in optical gas imaging (or remote sensing) in accordance with NTA-8399, EPA-21, OGMP 2.0 and EU methane Regulation methods. Our inspectors use the most advanced FLIR GFx320 infrared camera to detect VOC emissions. This camera visualizes leaks with the sensitivity needed to comply with standard regulations and allows to pinpoint exact sources of fugitive emissions. The digital camera and automatic GPS tagging ensure precise indication of leakages for faster repair.
Our certified inspectors are thoroughly trained and have years of experience in interpreting the images of the digital camera.
The optimal LDAR program is a combined program
The combination of best quality and most economic approach to full compliance with emission standards and governmental regulations is a combination of sniffing detection and optical imaging in a multi-annual program. For the first year a full LDAR inventory of equipment. In the three following years 25% of the equipment can be inspected with LDAR, optional combined with camera inspection of the production site. After every shut down or big maintenance project, we suggest a supplementary camera inspection. In such a 4-year cycle the combined LDAR program will attain virtually complete elimination of losses with savings of around 20% on budget and 30% on inspection time.
TP-Europe’s monitoring working methodology
TP-Europe is ready to assist you in direct and indirect reduction of fugitive emissions. Direct reduction by source measurement in the unit followed by repair. Indirect reduction through improvement of the inspection and maintenance program.
Our monitoring working methodology consists of four elements:
*project preparation; planning, gathering unit information and structure, mapping streams on P&ID’s, database Atlas software setup;
*on-site activities: identification and monitoring of all potential leak sources, labeling of leaking equipment with leak tag and a repair round;
*data management and reporting: monitoring data input in LDAR database, data verification, automatic repair order generation;
*project handover: analysis and maintenance recommendations for the coming years based on project data and reports.
Mastering the invisible
TP-Europe offers proven solutions for an adequate HSE policy with focus on reliability of installations, prevention of environmental damage and safety for the work environment.
Our proven track record in emission monitoring and emission management is a solid base for effective and integrated solutions to optimize your company results. Our main focus areas are: prevention of environmental pollution by emissions of hazardous substances in compliance with legislation and regulations; reliability of equipment preventing threats of production losses and integrity of installations; safety of installations and their surroundings (employees, neighborhood) and prevention of economic losses caused by unwanted energy losses and lower production efficiency.
Effective compliance program
Compliance with emission standards and governmental regulations requires a lot of work: equipment inventory, monitoring, repairing, record keeping and reporting.TP Europe has the knowledge and the experience to assist and guide you to streamline and optimize your Leak Detection And Repair processes and management.
